Why we sometimes say no

Roughly one consultation in ten ends with us recommending no treatment, or a different one from the one asked for. Here are the usual reasons.

The treatment will not fix the concern

Filler cannot lift a heavy brow; anti-wrinkle injections cannot smooth sun damage. When the request and the result do not match, we explain what would help and what it costs.

Too much, too soon

We limit how much filler we place in a single visit and how often. If you have had treatment elsewhere recently, we may ask you to wait.

Medical reasons

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, active skin infections and some medications rule out certain treatments. We will say when and why.

We think you look well already

It happens. If our honest view is that the change would not be an improvement, we tell you, and there is no charge for the consultation.
