The most common mix-up we hear at consultations is between skin boosters and dermal filler. Both use hyaluronic acid. That is where the similarity ends.
Filler adds structure
Filler is a firm gel placed in specific spots to restore volume or shape: a cheek, a jawline, a lip. It stays where it is put, and results are visible straight away.
Boosters improve quality
Skin boosters are a runny gel spread across an area in many tiny injections. They do not add shape. They hydrate the skin so it looks smoother, brighter and less crepey over the following weeks.
Which do you need?
If the concern is a hollow or a line that a finger can lift, it is probably a filler question. If it is texture, dullness or fine crinkling across an area, boosters. Many people benefit from both, spaced a few weeks apart. Your doctor will tell you which, and in what order.
