Laser works best on skin that has been looked after in the weeks before. This is the list we send to every client who books a course.

Four weeks before

No sun exposure or sunbeds on the area. A tan, real or fake, changes how the laser reads your skin and raises the chance of a burn.

One week before

Stop retinol, acids and exfoliants on the area. Tell us about any new medication; some antibiotics make skin light-sensitive and we will postpone.

On the day

Arrive with clean skin, no make-up or moisturiser on the area. Shave the area for hair removal the day before. Bring sunglasses if you would like them for the walk home in bright weather.

Afterwards

SPF 50 every morning for the whole course. Cool the area if it feels warm. Redness usually clears within a few hours.
